CareAid has completed over seven successful years funding many projects to support the poorest of the poor in Zambia, Tanzania, Mozambique, Kenya, and South Africa. CareAid has funded hospitals, clinics, orphans and street children projects, the provision of clean water, the building of schools, a grinding mill, medical training, projects for the disabled and projects for those with HIV/AIDS. Over 99% of donations and interest income has gone directly to fund projects.

Careaid is now launching a new charity trading website, which it hopes, will raise much needed funds to allow us continue supporting the needy. The concept of this website is to get people to:

• Sell their unwanted goods online
• Donate time for which a buyer will pay us
• Buy goods in the knowledge that 100% of the funds go to us

The website is giveandbuy.ie and we are delighted that Miriam O'Callaghan agreed to be our Ambassador. Please visit giveandbuy.ie and ask your friends and colleagues to do the same.

This new website is the only charity trading website where 100% of the funds received goes to charity, as all the overheads are covered by the promoters and sponsors. Many companies have given their expertise, and time, freely in support of us. We invited other charities on board, so that people could choose who they want to support. To date we have nine other charities.

We are also delighted to welcome Cian Kinsella, to our board. Cian brings with him, a wealth of experience, and has been a supporter for many years.

Lastly I would like to thank all our supporters, my fellow directors, and Derek Mulligan and John Pittock for their continued work.
